Title: CNC Machinist 

Location: Ashland, VA

Pay Rate: $24–$25 per hour

Shift: 1st Shift


We are hiring two experienced CNC Machinist with a structural steel background to join our prefab area in Ashland, VA. If you have experience with CNC equipment, a strong understanding of blueprints, and the ability to work with hand and power tools, we want to hear from you!


Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate CNC equipment, including combination mill/lathe and drill line machines used for structural steel fabrication.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and work orders to ensure accurate production of structural steel components.
  • Use hand and power tools to perform machining and assembly tasks.
  • Adjust machine settings to optimize performance and accuracy.
  • Perform quality inspections on finished products to ensure they meet design and structural specifications. 
  • Troubleshoot machine issues and perform basic maintenance as needed.
  • Record production data and maintain accurate documentation in Global Shop (ERP system).
  • Collaborate with team members to maintain a safe and efficient work environment.


Must-Have Qualifications:
  • Experience in structural steel fabrication is required.
  • Experience operating CNC equipment, specifically combination mill/lathe and drill line machines.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings accurately.
  • Proficiency with hand and power tools.
  • Strong computer skills; experience with Global Shop or similar ERP systems is preferred.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and work on your feet for extended periods.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
