We are looking for a highly skilled Revenue and Cost Manager to lead and enhance our revenue, cost, and collections processes. Reporting directly to the CFO, this role demands an innovative mindset, an ability to foster cross-departmental collaboration, and expertise in job costing and revenue recognition.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Revenue and Collections Mastery: Oversee the quote-to-cash process, ensuring seamless billing, collections, and revenue accounting.
  • Contract Review: Ensure contracts align with organizational goals and compliance standards.
  • Month-End Close: Streamline accounting processes and shorten financial close timelines while ensuring precise reporting.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze large datasets to optimize reporting and operational workflows.
  • Commission Management: Accurately calculate commissions for the sales team.
  • Policy Development: Create and implement credit risk policies and collection strategies to maximize working capital.
  • Customer Experience: Ensure an exceptional invoicing experience for clients by aligning operational processes with customer needs.
  • Team Collaboration: Partner with sales, sourcing, and operations to design and improve efficient workflows.


What You Bring to the Table:
  • Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Proven Expertise: Over 6 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a management capacity.
  • Tech-Savviness: Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with QuickBooks are essential.
  • Audit Experience: Freight or other audit experience is an advantage.
  • Communication Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Adaptability: A self-starter with the drive to excel in a high-energy environment.
  • Discretion: Experience managing sensitive and confidential matters.
  • Location Requirement: Residing in or willing to relocate to Charlottesville, VA.
