Associate General Counsel, APAC - job 1 of 3
Reddit is looking for a senior attorney with significant legal experience to be their first APAC lawyer based in India. The role involves advising on a range of legal issues and ensuring compliance with local regulations.
Skills
- Experience in regional/international counsel role for a U.S. headquartered company
- Ability to handle a variety of legal matters including commercial contracts, litigation, regulatory issues
- Experience managing or mentoring legal team members
- Strong communication and collaboration skills across time zones
- Knowledge of legal issues in multiple APAC jurisdictions
Responsibilities
- Advise on local content regulations, intellectual property, privacy, employment, and commercial matters
- Ensure compliance with India regulations, including the Information Technology Act and data privacy regulations
- Collaborate with legal, public policy, trust & safety, product, and business teams in the region
- Build and manage a regional legal team
Education
- Locally licensed in the jurisdiction
