When patients enter our outpatient physical therapy center in York, we want them to have an exceptional experience – starting at the front desk. That’s where you come in. As a patient service specialist, you’ll manage both the patient side and business side of our center. At Select Medical in York, we're seeking a Medical Front Office - Patient Service Specialist to become the welcoming face of our outpatient physical therapy center. As a Patient Service Specialist, your warm demeanor and organizational skills will play a key role in ensuring that every patient feels valued and informed from the moment they walk through our doors. Your responsibilities will include greeting and registering patients, explaining what to expect during their visit, and scheduling appointments both in-person and over the phone. You'll be the bridge that connects patients with essential services, maintaining regular communication with attorneys, insurance companies, and other partners. A critical part of your role will also involve handling co-pay collections, managing payer approvals, and conducting insurance authorizations and verifications. We’re looking for someone who has at least a high school diploma or GED, and while medical office experience is preferred, a passion for helping others is essential.
