Job Description

As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities and securing new partnerships relating to the SGS Medical Device services.  

  • Salary: up to £55,000 Basic DOE 
  • Location: Remote with UK travel required - Office based in Oldbury 
  • Hours of work: Monday to Friday Days 
  • Bonus: up to 20% sales bonus 
  • Car: Company vehicle 
  • Selling SGS services related to In Vitro Medical Devices (IVD) and Medical Devices, to generate new customers and new profitable revenues
  • Identify, contact and develop new customers who have never previously traded with SGS along with existing customers and re-engage lapsed customers
  • To present SGS products and services
  • To create compelling business cases to encourage customers to place work with SGS
  • To generate new business revenues for SGS to meet budgetary and strategic goals
  • To identify and react to new and developing market, competitor, and regulatory developments to ensure SGS takes advantage of all market opportunities

Qualifications

Essential 

  • Degree level (or equivalent) qualification related to relevant sciences 
  • Knowledge of the IVD and medical device sector
  • Time served in a target driven sales development role to demonstrate experience
  • Full clean driving license for use in the UK

Desirable 

  • Project Management qualification such as Prince2, Six Sigma, CAPM, PMP
  • Customer Service qualification such as NVQ, Practitioner, Institute of Customer Service
