Security Officer

Your Opportunity as the Corporate Security Officer

Provide top tier customer service and security to our corporate employees and guests at our campus in Orrville. Become a steward of our Corporate Security Vision and Mission while covering designated posts, monitoring alarms, and ensuring the safety of Smucker facilities.

Location: Orrville, OH (Close proximity to Cleveland/Akron)

Work Arrangements: Onsite, Front Half Nights: Sun-Tue (6P-6A) and Wed 6p-12 am

In this role you will:

  • Operate as the night shift Security Officer to ensure proper surveillance of our corporate campus

  • Apply JMS policies and procedures to security tasks and ensure the proper adherence to facility guidelines

  • Coordinate emergency response with EMS/LE and responds to emergency situations using the appropriate escalation of force level up to and including armed response

  • Conduct patrols at designated posts inside and outside of our corporate building and other facilities on campus

  • Be available to provide First Aid/CPR when needed

  • Monitors alarms and video surveillance systems

  • Document and retain incident reports

Minimum Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent

  • Experience in security, EMS, military, or law enforcement

  • Clean driving record over the past 5 years is required (no moving violations or accidents at fault)

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds

  • Ability to walk and stand for extended periods

  • Must be willing to work shifts and flexible schedules, including weekends, evenings, and holidays

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Must be able to obtain a Concealed Carry Weapons permit
