Summary of Job Duties:

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock seeks non-tenure track Adjunct Lecturer in the Donaghey College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The Adjunct Lecturer will lead classroom instruction, develop course content, support summer camps, initiate a research plan, and undertake other duties as assigned by the school director. This position is governed by state and federal laws and agency/institution policy.


Qualifications:

Required Education and/or Experience:

  • MS in Electrical Engineering (ME) or related fields.

Preferred Education and/or Experience:

  • PhD Electrical Engineering (ME) or related fields;

  • Teaching experience at the College or University level.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate electrical & computer engineering courses. Instruction may be delivered on-campus during day and/or evening;

  • Manage the class syllabus and ensure that the syllabus meets program, school and college standards;

  • Prepare lesson plans, essential learning goals, and assignments;

  • Encourage active learning through discussion topics, group work, projects, etc;

  • Provide feedback and grade assignments in a timely and thorough manner;

  • Establish office hours to provide additional assistance with student questions;

  • Performs other duties relevant to the position as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Ability to use various computer software programs (e.g., Blackboard Ultra, Google Suite, Zoom, Excel, etc.);

  • Communicate clearly and effectively.
