Human Resources Generalist

As a Human Resources Generalist at VIPdesk, you’ll be at the heart of our people operations, supporting a high-performing and distributed team. You’ll manage key HR processes including onboarding, compliance, team member relations, and benefits administration—all while helping us scale thoughtfully as we expand our global footprint. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally to support a culture rooted in excellence, inclusion, and innovation.


This is a remote position available in the following states: AR, AZ, FL, GA, IN, KY, MD, NV, NM, NC, OH, SC, TN, TX, UT, VA, and WI.


Key Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding, benefits administration, HRIS management, and compliance
  • Serve as a collaborative partner to all team members, supporting engagement, retention, and culture
  • Administer and maintain ADP Workforce Now for a team of 300 members nationwide
  • Conduct new hire onboarding and orientations, ensuring an exceptional experience aligned with our culture
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws across 35+ states
  • Provide guidance to managers on HR best practices and team member relations, including performance management and conflict resolution
  • Support payroll operations in partnership with Finance and ensure accuracy of pay, benefits deductions, and timekeeping
  • Act as a liaison with insurance carriers, resolving discrepancies and assisting with benefits-related inquiries; handling open enrollment
  • Maintain accurate personnel records and documentation related to staffing, performance, leaves of absence, and compliance
  • Administer E-Verify and employment verification processes
  • Research and recommend updates to HR policies and processes in line with current employment regulations and company goals
  • Partner with the C-suite at VIPdesk on initiatives that align with our people-first culture and AI-forward transformation
  • Lead a team of 1-2+ that includes onboarding, benefits administration, payroll, etc.


Preferred Skills & Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of progressive HR experience, preferably in a fast-paced, remote or hybrid environment
  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field; PHR certification preferred
  • Deep knowledge of HR fundamentals and compliance across multiple states (EEOC, FMLA, ADA, etc.)
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Strong communication skills, discretion, and emotional intelligence
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks with precision and grace
