About Voltus

Voltus’ mission is to be the Distributed Energy Platform that fulfills the promise of the energy transition. The Voltus platform connects any distributed energy resource (DER) to any energy market across the US and Canada, providing flexibility, reliability, and resilience to the grid while generating revenue for our partners. About the Role

The Product Design Internship at Voltus offers a dynamic and hands-on experience of the energy tech industry. This role is designed for a bright and passionate individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and work alongside industry professionals in the fast-paced and complex world of Demand Response.


Voltus is a fully distributed company and this job is remote. You have the flexibility to work from anywhere, but you must overlap with the Central Time zone for at least 4 hours of the workday (9am-5pm).


Key Responsibilities
  • Support key design initiatives such as improving customer experiences, designing new internal tools and enhancing the design system. 
  • Lead research initiatives for projects as needed.
  • Design UX, UI and prototypes at the fidelity required of the project.
  • Collaborate with the Engineering and Product teams, as well as other stakeholders.

Qualifications
  • Product Design experience including research, UX design, UI design and prototyping in Figma.
  • Demonstrated interest in energy markets, demand response, the energy grid or climate solutions.
  • Strong self-starter able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • Eligible to work in the US or Canada without sponsorship.


$25 - $30 an hour
