About the team:  

This is a unique opportunity to join the Everyday Health Signals project under Walmart Health & Wellness. Our solution delivers retail insights that will power the future of healthcare for our customers through the unparalleled scale of Walmart’s platform. We are building innovative 0-to-1 products that sit at the intersection of Health & Wellness, Data Science, and Retail Experiences.  

Position summary:  

As Principal Product Manager, you will lead the end-to-end definition and development of AI/ML-powered data products that deliver novel health insights to improve consumer decision making and clinical outcomes. You will oversee user discovery, product scoping and strategy, roadmap prioritization, and execution for your product. You will work with teammates across product, data science & engineering, nutrition solutions, and strategy functions to shape the growth of an early-stage health & wellness project, ultimately helping Walmart’s millions of customers live better every day. 

 

What you’ll do:  

  • Craft and execute on our product strategy which leverages AI/ML technologies to build meaningful data products; work with data science & engineering teams on implementation  

  • Manage the product development process, including sprint planning, backlog management, and product releases, as well as stakeholder management and legal/compliance approvals 

  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality products that meet customer needs and align with Walmart’s mission and strategic priorities  

  • Partner cross-functionally with product, design, research, strategy, tech, and other Walmart teams from product discovery to launch 

 

What you’ll bring:  

  • 10+ years of product management experience, including 5+ years building AI/ML-powered products 

  • Strong understanding of data-driven product development, with demonstrated experience in iterative development and creative experimentation to identify and validate hypotheses 

  • Experience building 0-to-1 products in startup or corporate incubation environments, including conceptualizing and nurturing prototype concepts with high potential for scale 

  • Ability to seamlessly navigate between strategic vision and detailed execution, with proven skills in connecting disparate concepts across domains to create versatile solutions 

  • Superb communication and relationship skills, with the ability to work with and present to executives, drive strategic decision making, and influence without authority 

  • Experience partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to align product development efforts and drive go-to-market process 

  • BS in Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent work experience 

  • (Bonus) Experience building products with a Health, Data, and/or Retail component 

  • (Bonus) Experience building recommender systems 

  • (Bonus) Experience building products with frontend/design components 

 

Location: San Bruno, California

Live Better U is a Walmart-paid education benefit program for full-time and part-time associates in Walmart and Sam's Club facilities. Programs range from high school completion to bachelor's degrees, including English Language Learning and short-form certificates. Tuition, books, and fees are completely paid for by Walmart.

The annual salary range for this position is $143,000.00-$286,000.00

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business Administration, or related area and 8 years’ experience as a product manager, ideally working on consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products, Supervisory experience, We value candidates with a background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly. The ideal candidate would have knowledge of accessibility best practices and join us as we continue to create accessible products and services following Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines for supporting an inclusive culture.
