About the job
We seek a proactive and results-driven Product Owner to lead the agile execution of product initiatives from concept to delivery. In this role, you will collaborate closely with Product Managers to refine Epics and Specifications into actionable user stories, partner with engineering teams to drive sprint execution and ensure seamless product rollouts. You will act as the voice of stakeholders, balancing technical feasibility with business priorities while maintaining transparency on timelines and deliverables.
What you’ll do
Convert high-level Epics and Specifications from Product Managers into granular, actionable user stories with clear acceptance criteria.
Collaborate with engineering teams to decompose stories into subtasks, estimate effort (e.g., story points), and prioritize the backlog for sprint planning.
Own and refine the product backlog, ensuring alignment with product vision and stakeholder needs.
Lead sprint planning sessions, slotting stories into sprints based on team capacity, dependencies, and business priorities.
Track sprint progress, resolve blockers, and adjust real-time priorities to meet delivery timelines.
Conduct sprint reviews and retrospectives to drive continuous improvement in agile processes.
Maintain regular communication with stakeholders (e.g., Product Managers, clinical teams, compliance) to provide updates on delivery progress, risks, and timeline adjustments.
Manage expectations by translating technical complexities into business-friendly updates.
Own end-to-end product delivery, including organizing pilot programs, UAT (User Acceptance Testing), and coordinating go/no-go decisions.
Develop rollout collateral such as demo videos, user guides, and training materials to ensure smooth adoption.
Partner with cross-functional teams (e.g., Marketing, Support) to execute launch plans and measure post-launch success.
Ensure deliverables meet regulatory and compliance standards (e.g., HIPAA, SOC2) throughout development and rollout.
Validate that features align with original requirements and stakeholder expectations.
Your experience and qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
5+ years as a Product Owner, Scrum Master, or Technical Project Manager in agile software environments.
Mastery of agile frameworks (Scrum, Kanban) and tools (Jira, Azure DevOps).
Strong ability to bridge technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Expertise in backlog grooming, story splitting, and dependency management.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner), SAFe PO/PM, or PMI-ACP.
Experience in healthcare, fintech, or other regulated industries.
Proficiency in creating training materials (e.g., Camtasia, Figma, Adobe Suite).
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
