Senior Engineering Technician/Designer

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is looking to hire an experienced Engineering Tech/Designer in our Tulsa office. As an Engineering Tech/Designer you would be responsible for using standard drafting practices and procedures, with a strong attention to detail, to assist with tasks related to a variety of engineering and construction projects. The Engineering Tech/Designer will modify and create design plans and drawings using computer aided design (CAD) programs under the direction of a designer or engineer. Westwood has a highly experienced and dynamic team of individuals dedicated to providing high-level professional services to our clients.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Apply Westwood Company CAD standard, practices, and procedures in creating and modifying CAD drawings• Collaborate in a team environment• Coordinate filing, storage, and retrieval of drawings and documents• Work with extreme precision and accuracy in creating design drawings• Provide direction to design team• Review and research specifications and code requirements• Willing to take on other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Experience and knowledge of latest version of AutoCAD Civil 3D

• Design experience and skills relevant to land development and/or public infrastructure

• Working Knowledge in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Adobe Acrobat/Bluebeam

• Possess mathematical skills and analytical abilities

Required Experience

• High School graduate or equivalent• Technical degree or certification in AutoCAD Civil 3D

• 10+ Years of Industry Experience, specifically Land Development

• Attention to detail, self-motivated and a team player• Willingness to learn and grow

Preferred Experience

• Associate Degree• Experience with GIS mapping services• MicroStation Experience• Experience with applications (InfraWorks, SITEOPS, BIM, Revit, AutoTurn, AutoDesk 360, etc..)
