Learning Experience Manager

I.  Job Summary

The Manager of Learning Experience Design will lead a team of creative instructional designers and developers in designing and delivering innovative, engaging, and effective learning experiences. This role is responsible for overseeing the design and development of high-impact learning solutions that drive business performance, support employee growth, and align with organizational goals. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a passion and proven track record for designing innovative learning solutions, a strong ability to lead teams, and for implementing modern instructional methodologies.

II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities  To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily

  • Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of instructional designers and developers, fostering creativity, collaboration, and professional growth.
  • Develop and execute a strategic vision for instructional design that aligns with organizational goals and enhances employee learning experiences.
  • Oversee the design and development of blended learning experiences, including eLearning, instructor-led training (ILT), virtual instructor-led training (vILT), microlearning, and performance support tools.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, including business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and learning partners, to recommend the appropriate learning solution.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging data and learner feedback to refine learning solutions.
  • Guide the use of interactive elements such as scenario-based learning, simulations, gamification, and adaptive learning technologies.
  • Develop standards and templates to maintain consistency and quality in learning materials.
  • Establish project timelines, deliverables, and milestones while optimizing team workload and resources.
  • Explore and implement cutting-edge learning solutions such as AI-driven learning, VR/AR, and adaptive learning pathways.

III. Supervisory Responsibilities

The highest level of supervisory skills required in this job may be the management of employees. This includes:

Management of one or more exempt and/or non-exempt team members

 IV. Qualifications

The requirements listed below are representative of the qualifications necessary to perform the job. Must live and work in the US. 

 A. Education and Experience

Education: Bachelor’s Degree (accredited) or in lieu of degree, High School Diploma or GED (accredited) and 4 years of relevant experience 

Experience: Seven (7) years of relevant work experience. (in addition to education requirement) 

B.  Certificates, Licenses, Registrations or Other Requirement

  • Normal setting for this job is remote

The expected pay range for this position across the U.S is $113,000- $145,000K. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific salary offered to a successful candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's relevant experience, education, training, certifications, qualifications, and work location.
