The Role:

The Multilingual/English Language Learner Coordinator (contractor) plays a pivotal role in ensuring the academic success of MLL/ELL students and supporting their teachers in implementing effective instructional strategies. This position involves collecting, analyzing, and utilizing data to inform decision-making and provide targeted support to teachers, academic coaches, and managers to promote best practices in MLL/ELL instruction.

 

What you will do:

· Provide pre-launch program support to teachers, academic coaches, and customer support team members by collecting, analyzing, and distributing student MLL/ELL data, monitoring teacher allocation, and providing program-specific onboarding training for teachers and academic coaches.

· Observe MLL/ELL identified classes to ensure Multilingual Learner strategies and differentiation are being used through weekly virtual observations and in-person on a semester basis or based on district needs.

· Regularly monitor student and customer data to inform academic coaches, program coordinators, and teachers for MLL/ELL student support.

· Attend District team meetings with instructional managers and specialists to review data, provide feedback, and offer best practice suggestions related to English Language Learner strategies on a quarterly basis

· Create additional professional development for teachers, classroom coaches, and customer support team members on best practices based on data trends

 

 

 

Qualifications:

· ELL Endorsement Required: Candidates must possess a valid ELL endorsement or certification, demonstrating specialized training and expertise in English Language Learner instruction.

· 2+ year Previous Experience in an ELL Coordinator Role Required: Ideal candidates should have prior experience working in an ELL coordinator or similar role, with a proven track record of effectively supporting ELL students and educators.

· Bachelor’s Degree Required, Master's Degree Preferred: A Master's degree in Education, or a related field is preferred, although candidates with equivalent experience and qualifications will also be considered.

· TX, CO, IL Location Preferred: Candidates located in Texas, Colorado, or Illinois are preferred, as these states have specific educational contexts and requirements relevant to ELL instruction.

· Bilingual English and Spanish Preferred: Fluency in both English and Spanish is preferred. Bilingual proficiency enhances communication and support for ELL students.

· Program management skills: Strong organizational skills, ability to support and manage multiple programs, detail oriented.

· Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, Teams and specifically Excel.

· Skilled in analyzing, interpreting and presenting data findings and trends

· Strong cross functional communication skills and ability to create and lead presentations
