Adobe is seeking a Senior Product Engagement Manager to shape the future of a new mobile app/game within the Emerging Business Org. This role is pivotal in creating the most engaging creative tools for our users, with a focus on drawing, play, and the innovative use of generative AI.

You’ll blend the strategic mindset of a growth product manager with the creative vision of a UX designer, driving repeat engagement, gamification, and social participation. By understanding the psychology of play, creativity, and learning, you’ll craft experiences that are seamless, rewarding, and deeply immersive. Your decisions will be backed by data-driven insights, leveraging A/B testing and user research to optimize the engagement loops and retention strategies that keep users inspired and returning again and again.

What You’ll Do

  • Define & Optimize Engagement Strategies – Develop and execute engagement-driven design strategies that align with user behavior and retention goals, leveraging gamification, social mechanics, and personalization.

  • Communicate & Prototype Design Ideas – Use wireframes, flow diagrams, storyboards, mockups, and high-fidelity prototypes to articulate design concepts and create compelling user journeys.

  • Create Holistic, Cross-Platform Experiences – Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and cross-functional teams to build seamless experiences across iPad, iPhone, and beyond.

  • Own & Evolve the Gamification Strategy – Design rewarding, habit-forming experiences, incorporating leaderboards, achievements, creative challenges, and other mechanics that enhance user motivation.

  • Lead UX for Creativity & Play – Champion user-centered design principles, ensuring that young users, parents, and creative enthusiasts find the app both intuitive and inspiring.

  • Engage with Users & Test Hypotheses – Conduct usability testing, A/B experiments, and direct customer research to refine the product based on real-world insights.

  • Design for Young Creators – Craft engaging, age-appropriate experiences that foster creativity, confidence, and digital expression for kids.

  • Develop Social & Collaborative Features – Enhance engagement by designing interactive, shareable, and community-driven experiences within the app.

What You Need to Succeed

  • 8+ years of experience in product management and/or UX design, with a focus on mobile apps or game design.

  • Experience working iteratively with agile engineering teams.

  • Proficiency in Figma and strong UX & UI skills.

  • Expertise in user testing, A/B testing, and rapid prototyping to validate engagement strategies.

  • Deep understanding of gamification principles, behavioral psychology, and user motivation.

Nice-to-haves:

  • Experience building for kids, implementing animation and sound.

  • Familiarity with virtual worlds that enable player-driven creativity, modding, and collaborative storytelling (e.g. Roblox, Minecraft, Fornite).

  • Background in designing for multi-surface experiences (e.g., mobile, iPad, and desktop).

  • Passion for painting, drawing, animation, and illustration.

  • Familiarity with social and collaborative features in creative apps.
