We are currently recruiting a skilled Process Engineer, to be based in the Romania Enterprise Capabilities Office in Bucharest. This position offers a flexible hybrid work arrangement, incorporating a combination of both in-office and remote working schedules”, as outlined below.
The successful candidate will join our team and contribute to our commitment to improving air quality. In this role, you will focus on developing innovative odour control systems for wastewater processes, while supporting our broader initiatives in air pollution control and industrial ventilation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in environmental, chemical, or process engineering, focusing on ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and enhancing air quality.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Air Pollution Control and Industrial Ventilation:
o Understand and implement air pollution control systems and technologies.
o Knowledge of air emissions from multiple sources and quantification.
o System and equipment sizing.
o Prepare process calculations, technical documents, and reports.
2. Odour Control System:
o Gain knowledge of odour control technologies.
o Understand the principles of odour generation, capture, and treatment.
o Collect and interpret field data related to odour control.
3. Wastewater treatment
o Gain knowledge of wastewater processes.
o Process calculations related to the sizing of wastewater treatment plants.
4. General Responsibilities:
o Develop and prepare technical documents and reports.
o Collaborate with internal teams and external clients.
o Apply basic scientific principles and existing technologies to solve technical problems.
o Collects and enters data and applies technical principles and theories.
o Interprets and records data conduct analyses, and compares findings to relevant studies and local, and state regulations to ensure compliance.
o Involvement with QA/QC of the drawings and technical documents
Qualifications:
• Minimum Requirements:
o BA/BS in Chemical Engineering or Environmental Engineering
• Preferred Qualifications:
o Minimum 3 years of experience in air quality improvement projects, including proposal writing and client liaison; Experience in wastewater treatment plants, along with a willingness to learn and develop in this field.
o Skills or experience in the following areas would be an asset: process calculations related to the sizing of wastewater treatment plants, Pollution Control System design, Industrial Ventilation, and Odour Control Strategy.
o Strong communication skills for report writing, presentations, and verbal communication.
o Knowledge of environmental and wastewater processes, air quality management, and regulatory requirements related to air emissions and permitting.
o Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and AutoCAD; Knowledge of BioWin or Aspen Hysys software is an advantage.
