Our thriving, multidisciplinary Water Solutions team in the South West is growing—and we’re looking for a Civil Engineer to join us in Exeter, Bristol, or Cardiff.

We’re delivering an exciting portfolio of water programmes and projects through long-term frameworks with key clients including major UK water companies (Wessex Water, Welsh Water, South West Water), contractors, and even international partners. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your career as a technical engineer—solving real-world challenges through meaningful, sustainable design.

Key responsibilities of this position include: 

• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver practical, community-focused water solutions.
• Supporting design and feasibility studies across potable, foul, surface water, and attenuation projects.
• Using design and analysis software to assess water systems and structures.
• Developing infrastructure designs—including pump systems and pipe networks—with a focus on safety and buildability.
• Staying informed on relevant regulations and applying them to project work.
• Gaining valuable on-site experience to see your designs in action.

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

• Demonstrate sound problem-solving skills, accountability for assigned work, and strong written and verbal communication skills 
• Experience in the design of water and wastewater engineering deliverables with multi-disciplinary knowledge
• Preferred experience working in a digital delivery environment using BIM and 3D design tools. Training can be offered to suitable candidates without this experience 
• BSc or BEng in Civil Engineering or equivalent  
• Working towards Chartership with a relevant Professional Institution
