Are you ready to shape the future of water infrastructure?

We’re looking for a Project Manager, Associate Level to join our growing Water Solutions team in London, St Albans, Croydon, or Basingstoke. In this role, you’ll support the delivery of Southern Water's £3.7 billion capital delivery programme, working on projects ranging from small rural sites to multi-million-pound schemes, covering both water and wastewater (Infrastructure and Non-Infrastructure). The frameworks run for seven and five years, respectively, with the option to extend for an additional 5 years.

You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to two major frameworks as part of this investment:

  • Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP) Framework: Supporting our Tier 1 Contractor on Lot 1 (non-infrastructure water projects) and Lot 2 (non-infrastructure wastewater projects).
  • Low Complexity Delivery Route Lot 2 (Wastewater Infrastructure) Framework and Strategic Delivery Partner (SDP) Lot 3 Infrastructure Framework: Partnering exclusively with a Tier 1 contractor to deliver sustainable, high-quality water and wastewater solutions.

Working flexibly from Southern UK locations, you’ll visit client sites in and around Brighton and collaborate with teams across multi-year frameworks. Here’s what you’ll do:

  • Lead and deliver projects, ensuring they meet budget and schedule targets.
  • Manage contracts, including NEC forms, and oversee scope, budget, and timelines.
  • Handle change management, including documenting warnings, preparing variations, and negotiating changes.
  • Develop project timelines, identifying risks, dependencies, and resources.
  • Ensure quality management processes are followed across all activities.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and manage stakeholder engagement.
  • Oversee subcontractor and supply chain performance to meet project needs.
  • Lead bid management for design tenders and framework contracts.
  • Take on line management responsibilities, guiding and managing junior staff, and conducting performance evaluations.

Qualifications

Ready to push the limits of what’s possible?

Here’s what we’re looking for:

  • Experience in delivering water and wastewater/ treatment projects.
  • Have strong commercial, risk management and contractual skills and experience, e.g. NEC4.
  • A degree or equivalent in a related engineering subject, and/or equivalent experience.
  • Chartered Engineer Status (or working towards).
