Our Manufacturing Scientists learn quickly on the job and anticipate/resolve potential manufacturing issues while maintaining the highest level of quality. As part of this team, your tasks will include protein purification, chromatography resin manufacturing, and quality control testing to support our Next Gen Sequencing, Microarray, Pathology, and PCR/QPCR products.
Hands-on biochemistry lab experience, especially in FPLC or HPLC experience, is essential.
As a Manufacturing Scientist, your job duties will include:
Perform purification and analysis of bulk proteins using basic and advanced chromatography techniques to ensure the highest quality standards.
Test and formulate purified enzymes for quality assurance and kit manufacturing, ensuring consistency and reliability in our products.
Manufacture and test Agilent's MARS HPLC columns using HPLC and protein assay techniques, contributing to the development of cutting-edge technologies.
Actively assist with the introduction of new products and the exploration of new technologies to continuously improve product quality.
Maintain stocks of raw materials required for enzyme purification and quality control testing, ensuring uninterrupted production.
Collaborate with other teams in the production and testing of products as required, fostering a culture of teamwork and innovation.
Maintain a work environment based on 5S and Lean Manufacturing principles, promoting efficiency and safety.
Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements to drive continuous improvement in our manufacturing processes.
Assess and re-prioritize tasks efficiently as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic work environment.
Communicate timely and collaboratively to address production delays, prioritizations, troubleshooting, and questions efficiently.
Other duties include the writing, maintenance, and reviewing of ISO-compliant Work Instructions and Standard Operating Procedures.
Bachelor’s degree in biochemistry or molecular biology related field.
Hands-on experience with chromatography (e.g., FPLC, HPLC) and protein purification techniques.
Familiarity with protein assays and quality control methods.
Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
Demonstrated ability to work in cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and 5S principles is a plus
Experience working in an ISO-regulated or GMP environment preferred.

This job has a full time weekly schedule. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
