Associate Information Security Analyst

As an Associate Information Security Analyst, you will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. From early on, you will help empower our breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility.

As an Associate Information Security Analyst, you will protect our critical information, systems, and assets, build solutions, implement new software and hardware, provide training, and assist in the development of an overall IT strategy. From early on, you will help empower our breakthrough innovations, be given challenging assignments, lead initiatives, and take ownership and responsibility.  

Compensation

ACE is committed to paying a competitive wage while staying true to our mission of maintaining high quality, affordable programs for our students. The starting salary range for this position is $60,000 plus all full-time employees are eligible for an annual bonus. Offers vary depending on education prior experience and expertise being applied to the role.

Day to Day Responsibilities

In this role you will wear different hats, but your skills will be especially essential in the following areas:

  • Monitors and analyzes security alerts and incidents to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.  
  • Assists in the implementation and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and controls.  
  • Conducts regular security assessments and audits to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.  
  • Collaborates with IT and other departments to ensure the secure configuration and operation of systems and applications.  
  • Assists in the development and delivery of security awareness training programs for employees.  
  • Conducts system vulnerability and compliance assessments and remediation across OS, Cloud, and Infrastructure as Code environments.  
  • Implements and monitors basic security controls such as access control lists (ACLs), antivirus solutions, and encryption technologies.  
  • Prepares reports on security incidents and trends, providing analysis and recommendations for mitigating future risks.  
  • Responds to security incidents and provide support for incident investigations and remediation efforts.  
  • Maintains up-to-date knowledge of emerging security threats and technologies.  
  • Documents security incidents, procedures, and changes.  

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in information security or a related field. Or recent graduate from a relevant program.  
  • Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.  
  • Familiarity with security frameworks and standards (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001).  
  • Proficiency in security tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS, firewalls).  
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.  
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.  
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Security+, SSCP) are highly desirable.
