Project Manager

Athena is growing our team of project managers, to join a group that brings an artful mix of creativity and facts-based insight to make even complex projects clear and keep project teams engaged. We continue to grow and are looking for ambitious teammates who share our values.

Day to day, you will be responsible to: 

  • Understand your client’s goals and strategic vision and work with them to define the project deliverables translated into an actionable plan 
  • Communicate timelines for delivery, highlight risks, and recommend mitigations 
  • Coordinate workstreams to deliver on tasks and action items 
  • Facilitate meetings and working sessions for clients and internal project teams 
  • Develop project reports, executive summaries, and other management artifacts designed to tell a clear story about the project 

The skills and experience you should bring to this project: 

  • Proven experience working in a client-facing role 
  • The ability to bring clarity, visibility, and strategic alignment in your projects and teams 
  • Successful management of multi-workstream projects and the ability to bring teams together for a shared purpose 
  • Strong capability in developing and presenting progress and performance reports and executive readouts 
  • Experience with process improvement, documenting roles and responsibilities, and understanding change management 

The qualifications you will bring:

  • Proven leadership in managing projects and external stakeholders 
  • Organizational prowess in collaborating with internal and external teams of varying disciplines 
  • Skill in synthesizing complex ideas into measurable action 
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively 
  • Command of MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel 
  • Excellent time management and the ability to prioritize your actions 
  • Effective use of email and calendar tools to ensure participation for in-person and online sessions 
  • Strong business acumen and strategic thinking 
  • Ability to be flexible and seamlessly manage project pivots as needed

It’s a plus if you have:  

  • Education, degree, or experience that brings an enriched perspective to your work 
  • 4-6 years of relevant professional experience 
  • Experience in a consulting or agency environment

Candidates must be willing to work hybrid (3 days on-site) in our Philadelphia, PA office.
