About the Role:
Brinc is running an accelerator focused on driving innovation and sustainability within the fashion industry. Our program is dedicated to identifying, mentoring, and investing in startups that are revolutionizing the fashion sector with sustainable practices and cutting-edge technology. We work with forward-thinking entrepreneurs who are committed to making the fashion industry more sustainable, ethical, and transparent.
We are looking for a Program Manager to support this program. The Program Manager is a core role in the Brinc business and is responsible for ensuring the overall success of Brinc accelerator programs. This includes startup sourcing, selection and due diligence, running the Investment Committee, designing program curriculum, mentoring startup founders, managing external stakeholder contributions to the program, owning the relationship with the startups in the accelerator program, tracking program data, as well as recruiting, managing and training an Associate team.
Key Responsibilities:- Drive and own both Partnership and Investment strategies, securing commercial partners for the program
- Secure investors to provide capital for participating startups
- Own all-year-round operations, lead and manage a team to ensure the successful execution of the Sustainable Fashion Accelerator Program
- Act as a representative for Brinc in the wider Sustainable Fashion ecosystem through activities such as thought leadership, speaking at industry events, conferences and online webinars
- Develop the investment thesis for the program based on market landscape and input from program partners
- Help source and select program startups
- Lead due diligence and Investment Committee presentations for selected startups
- Manage investment (inc. term sheets) and negotiation process with selected startups
- Design a customized curriculum for accelerator program participants
- Mentor founders throughout the program and support their progress towards customized program objectives
- Supporting startups with their fundraising needs in securing follow-on capital (with the support of Brinc’s portfolio team)
- Identify and enable partnership and growth opportunities for startups
- Source, on-board, and manage key relationships with program sponsors, founders, mentors, investors, corporate partners and other external contributors to the program
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders (eg. Legal, Marketing, Operations & Portfolio Management Teams) on program related projects
- Manage internal and external stakeholder communications eg. reporting program progress to the wider Brinc organization, corporate and investment partners
About You:- Has managed a sustainable fashion accelerator, Proof-of-Concept program and worked with corporate partnerships
- Managed investments (inc. term sheets) and negotiation process with startups
- First hand experience in a fashion startup
- Experience in successfully launching fashion related pilots with large Corporates
- Experience in raising capital
- Designed a customized curriculum for accelerator program participants
- Led due diligence and Investment Committee presentations for selected startups
- A minimum of 5-7 years of work experience in a dynamic, fast-paced environment in a related field such as accelerators, incubators, consulting, venture capital, corporate innovation, startups and entrepreneurship
- Passion and a strong interest in sustainability, technology, startups, and the fashion industry
- Familiarity with the latest trends in the sustainable fashion industry
- Experience with project management to drive continuous process improvement and operational efficiency
- Self-start with the ability to work independently and a high degree of accountability
- Effective communicator and strong team player
- Adept time management and ability to meet objectives in a timely manner
- Strategic thinker with problem solving capability and ability to adapt quickly to different situations
- Bachelor's Degree or comparable qualification
- Fluent English language skills are a must, other languages a plus
