About the Role
As a CAD Drafter, you will be responsible for creating detailed SolidWorks and AutoCAD drawings for manufacturing, including production-ready files and CNC cutting machine layouts. You’ll work closely with internal teams, distributors, and clients to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and seamless execution of designs. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to interpret architectural plans, and a proactive approach to process improvement in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Drawing & Design:
Create and organize layouts of manufacturing plans
Develop detailed CAD drawings and 2D manufacturing files for CNC cutting machines
Translate sketches and verbal instructions into accurate technical drawings
Operations & Production Support:
Use approved templates to develop SolidWorks and AutoCAD drawings for client approval
Generate DXF files for manufacturing
Optimize designs for efficient production while maintaining structural integrity
Assist in transforming concepts into fully functional products
Customer & Team Collaboration:
Work with distributors, customers, and production teams to ensure smooth project execution
Ensure accuracy and clarity of all technical information
Provide recommendations for process improvements and software advancements
At least 2 years of SolidWorks experience
At least 2 years of AutoCAD experience (2D & 3D)
3+ years of experience in CAD drawing within the manufacturing industry
Experience reading and interpreting architectural plans
Basic knowledge of file creation for CNC cutting machines
Salary: $60,000-65,000
Position is fully in office - after passing 6 month probation, will go WFH 2 Days
