Brown & Brown is seeking a Network Engineer to join our growing team! 

  

The Network Engineer role leverages technical expertise to plan, implement and oversee the computer networks that support voice, data, video and wireless network services. They are responsible for designing, maintaining, implementing and troubleshooting an organization's computer networks. 

  

How You Will Contribute: 

 

  • Participates in the network life cycle of planning, design, implementation and optimization of B&B network infrastructure. 

  • Produces detailed documentation, implementation plans and Visio drawings. 

  • Executes network implementations, ensuring adherence to security policies. 

  • Applies core body of networking knowledge across multiple vendors. 

  • Monitors Service Now ticket queue for moves, ads, and changes. 

  • Provisions Firewall rules and access control lists. 

  • Executes the test and turnup of new circuits. [T1/Broadband/Ethernet] 

  • Administers DNS moves, adds and changes. 

  • Deploys Cellular Modems for Backup and Disaster Recovery. 

  • Proactively maintains the health of all network hardware and software. This includes configuration compliance with both network and security standards. 

  • Will collect data metrics and deliver reports on network health and team performance 

 

Skills & Experience to Be Successful: 
  

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology or related degree or equivalent experience. 

  • Associate or bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, cloud architectures or equivalent work experience (Preferred) 

  • 5 + years’ experience in network engineering or network operations. 

  • 2+ years working with VoIP, IPSEC VPNs and Firewall technologies. 

  • Adept in both telecommunications and data communications technologies. 

  • Available for occasional travel up to 25%
