Meaningful Work From Day One:
The Associate Technology Specialist will provide first-level technical support, customer service, and assistance. This role is primarily responsible for supporting the Brown-Forman Louisville campus "IT Hotspot" walk-up service desk, as well as managing the procurement, distribution, and asset management of mobility equipment and IT inventory.
What You Can Expect:
● Collaborates closely with Technology Specialists to escalate complex issues.
● Assists at the IT Hotspot in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving IT-related problems.
● Provides individual or group training on Brown-Forman technology at the IT Hotspot.
● Orders mobility devices and addresses employee billing inquiries.
● Triages, supports, and troubleshoots all PC-related equipment, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and printers.
● Triages, supports, and troubleshoots mobility devices, including iOS and Android smartphones, cell phones, and mobile broadband devices.
● Regularly contributes to the Service Desk knowledge base using designated tools.
● Supports and troubleshoots video conferencing systems and provides audio-visual support for meetings and internal events.
● Keeps skills updated on supported technologies and corporate business applications.
● Demonstrates the ability to self-sustain and enhance personal knowledge through classes, self-study, and on-the-job training.
● Follows departmental processes and policies, maintaining an acceptable level of performance as required by the departmental scorecard.
● Processes, records (in Asset Management and QuickBooks), and distributes incoming technology orders.
● Performs weekly inventory reconciliation.
What You Bring to the Table:
● Minimum of 1-3 years of computer support experience.
● Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
● Experience with Apple technology (iPhone, iPad, and Mac) is required.
● Strong written and verbal communication skills.
● Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to handle challenging situations.
● Exceptional time management and organizational skills.
● Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
● Keen attention to detail, with a commitment to follow through and follow-up.
● Effective communication with both technical and non-technical audiences, including technology, business, management, and executive management.
● Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
● No travel required.
What Makes You Unique:
● Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
● Familiarity with Google, Salesforce, Okta SSO
● Certifications: Could include, but are not limited to A+, Network+, MOS, MCP (with a focus on MS Windows), MCSE/MCSA, Cisco, and Apple Certified Mac Technician (ACMT). Specific certifications will be included in the job posting.
