About This Role
The Automation Engineer II provides 24/7 process controls/automation technical site support to the Biogen 900 Davis drive, NC manufacturing site. In addition, this role manages multiple projects and continuous improvement initiatives that support the site from initial conception to final closure. The Automation Engineer II prioritizes between supporting the site and managing their assigned projects and tasks.

The base salary range for this position is $63,000 - $82,000. Base salary offered is determined through an analytical approach utilizing a combination of factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills & experience, job location, and internal equity.

Based at our Research Triangle Park, NC location, you'll provide 24/7 technical support for process controls and automation activities at our manufacturing site. As part of your day-to-day, you'll balance hands-on site support with overseeing multiple projects aimed at continuous improvement, embracing everything from initial conception through to final closure. Your primary responsibilities will include designing, configuring, and maintaining Wonderware and Rockwell software systems, and troubleshooting to keep our operations running smoothly. Enjoy collaborating with diverse teams as you communicate project plans and design concepts, and take ownership of vital processes, such as automation change control and validation packages. In this dynamic environment, you'll work with GMP documentation and develop automation test protocols. We’re looking for an enthusiastic self-starter with a Bachelor’s degree in an Engineering discipline and up to 2 years of relevant biotech experience. If you’re comfortable with programming and have fundamental knowledge of Wonderware and Rockwell systems, as well as an understanding of cGMP and GAMP guidelines, this could be your perfect fit.
