Requirements

You Might Be the Perfect Fit if You: 

  • Hold a high school diploma or GED, completion of DCF 45 hours, 1 year of experience in a children's classroom, and the ability to pass a background check; additionally, possess one of the following: a CDA or FCCPC with VPK training, or a degree in education or child development, with specific qualifications for teaching children from birth through 8 years of age. 
  • Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs and development.  
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. 
  • Exhibit flexibility and adaptability to meet community needs and respond to changing circumstances. 
  • Capable of meeting the physical demands of working with children.
