The NYC Department of Design and Construction’s Division of Infrastructure is currently seeking a Junior Engineer (Capital / Scope) to join the Program Management’s Engineering and Support Services - FEP/Drainage Planning and Modeling / Capital /Scope Engineering) team.
Successful candidate will report to an Engineer-In-Charge and will work on complex project planning and preliminary design analysis in support of multiple City initiatives and the Department of Transportation (DOT) and Department of Environmental Protection (DEP)’s Long Term Control Planning for roadway, sewer, and water main projects.
Additionally, the selected candidates will receive hands on training and assist with moderate to difficult engineering work, such as, research studies, engineering investigations, and examinations relating to engineering functions. The work and/or training will be in one or more of the following specialized engineering areas: drainage and grading analysis, structural computations, preliminary design development, design drafting, engineering investigations, field surveys/site inspections, and cost estimating.
