What you will do
Identify Special and Common Cause Variation that is leading to top scrap and rework issues, or which is adding risk to downstream operations.
How you will do it
Deploy a team approach, engaging operators and other experts
Deploy proven tools to identify root causes and implement lasting corrective actions, such as Pareto, Ishakawa, 5-why, KT, DMAIC process, SPC analysis, distribution analysis, etc.
Ensure operator instructions clearly guide the operator and are visual when needed.
Participate in process audits and actions to drive process conformance
Mentor and provide hands-on support to newer engineers and personnel in need of process knowledge
Track project performance in KEY database to assure timely completion and achievement of quality and savings goals
What we look for
Required:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or other technical discipline
5+ years of applicable work experience in manufacturing
Solid understanding and experience with the statistics related to manufacturing process
Understanding of common cause and special cause
Experience with Ishakawa and team problem solving
Willing and able to work in a matrix organization
Preferred:
Six Sigma certification
Excellent team building and communication skills
Ability to set priorities, work independently, and coordinate multiple projects utilizing available resources
