Summary

The Senior Buyer, Chemical Parts and Service role is a strategic role for the Global Parts and Service Organization. This is an individual contributor role that owns the global filter procurement strategy for CNH and the purchase of NAFTA service parts in filters, glass, decals, etc. and finally revenue enhancement strategy with marketing. This role develops global filter strategy, drives long term agreements, and awards business to maximize revenue and profits.  Within NAFTA, the role is responsible for budget, local sourcing, cost reduction and backorders for the NAFTA service commodities indicated. Commodity focus will be approximately 50% Filter Strategy and Tactics / 50% other NAFTA commodities and responsibilities and is expected to be a resource for less experienced buyers needing development.

  • Develops/implements global aftermarket filtration supplier strategies that lead to lowest total cost in terms of quality, lead time, delivery, service, and unit cost.
  • Negotiates, implement, and manage LTA's (long term agreements) while achieving commercial savings and raw material recovery to meet or exceed material cost and total cost reduction objectives.
  • Facilitates supplier/engineering VA/VE activities to drive product cost savings and process improvement initiatives to achieve budget performance.
  • Provide leadership in and develop an understanding of and insight into the market for the commodities assigned, including industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, lead-times, technology and manufacturing capability of company suppliers and suppliers in the market that best meet expectations and objectives. Track, monitor, and execute hedges at optimal raw material market conditions to minimize risk.
  • Support the overall reduction of backorders and manages resourcing for specified group of service parts.
  • Collaberates with key internal marketing stakeholders to ensure CNH is driving results/revenues from global negotiations.
  • May coordinate effforts with production team members in the reduction of purchasing/engineering costs and establishing cost for new products.
  • Will manage relationships with major global suppliers, vendors, or sub-contractors to ensure the organization receives satisfactory standars of service.
  • Other related duties as assigned.

 

**The annual salary for this role is $105,000 - $155,000 plus any applicable bonus (Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as skill, experience and qualification for the role.)
