Cognizant Technology Solutions is currently seeking a highly experienced Lead AI Automation Solutions Architect specializing in Observability, AIOps, IT Automation, SRE, Cloud Operations and GenAI Technologies. The ideal candidate will have experience in ServiceNow ITOM, ITSM, CMDB, AIOps, Observability technologies like Splunk, AppDynamics, Datadog, GenAI technologies like Moveworks, ServiceNow, expert understanding in Enterprise and Open LLMs, Rag models, conversational bots etc coupled with a strong background in CI/CD and cloud-native architectures. This role requires a strategic thinker, technical expert, and pre-sales leader who can define and drive innovative solutions for enterprise clients. Partner with the customer to identify areas of opportunity to improve business outcomes through digital transformation that when implemented, lead to improved process and end-user experiences for everyone.
The Specialist will provide deep expertise in Observability, AIOps, IT Automation, or ServiceNow-led transformation solutions supporting Cognizant’s client account teams in vertical markets and their account expansion plans into new markets and business areas. SLS’s are usually assigned into existing markets and some SLS’ will also engage in new logo markets. The Specialist will be a “trusted advisor” to both the client and the Cognizant Client Partner blending strategic, tactical and ‘street savvy’ sales experience.

Key Responsibilities
· Lead technical pre-sales engagements, presenting IT operations transformation solutions to C-level executives and technical stakeholders.
· Develop compelling solution proposals, proof of concepts (PoCs), demos, and RFP responses for Observability, AIOps, SRE, and IT Automation and GenAI solutions.
· Collaborate with sales teams to define go-to-market (GTM) strategies for enterprise IT transformation initiatives.
· Architect scalable, cloud-native IT operations solutions integrating Observability, AIOps, and automation with ServiceNow ITOM and other platforms.
· Design resilient, high-performing CI/CD pipelines that align with SRE principles and DevOps best practices.
· Define multi-cloud observability architectures using tools like Dynatrace, Splunk, Datadog, New Relic, or Prometheus.
· Drive automation strategies, leveraging AI-driven service desks, event correlation, and intelligent remediation workflows.
· Lead thought leadership initiatives, including whitepapers, webinars, and industry conferences on next-gen IT operations and AIOps.
· Evaluate emerging technologies (AI/ML, LLMs, GenAI, FinOps, Zero Trust Security, etc.) to enhance existing IT operations frameworks.
· Develop best practices, frameworks, and accelerators to improve SRE-led IT operations, cloud migration, and service automation.
· Collaborate with customers, partners, and internal teams to align solutions with business goals and technology roadmaps.
· Provide technical mentorship to sales engineers, solution consultants, and delivery teams.
· Conduct executive briefings and workshops on modern IT operations, Observability, and AIOps strategies.
Required Qualifications:
· 18+ years in IT, with at least 8+ years in Observability, AIOps, IT Automation, or ServiceNow-led transformations.
· Proven track record of leading large-scale digital transformations in IT Operations for global enterprises.
· Experience in working with pre-sales teams, strategic consulting, and solution architecture roles.
· Observability & AIOps: Hands-on experience with tools like Splunk, Dynatrace, Datadog, New Relic, ELK, Moogsoft, BigPanda, or Instana.
· IT Automation: Strong knowledge of workflow orchestration, AI-driven ITSM, RPA, and chatbot automation.
· SRE & Cloud Operations: Expertise in SRE principles, reliability engineering, incident management, and chaos engineering.
· CI/CD & DevOps: Experience with Jenkins, GitOps, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and containerization.
· ServiceNow: Proficiency in Discovery, Event Management, Service Mapping, CMDB
· Cloud & Hybrid IT: Hands-on knowledge of AWS, Azure, GCP, multi-cloud, and FinOps best practices
· GenAI Technologies: GenAI technologies in IT Operations and platforms like Moveworks, Glean, ServiceNow, Aisera
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree in Computer science or related.
· Strong Consulting background in a Cloud Infra and Security in sales, delivery or solutions
