We are looking for a Designer who will be responsible for the Darkroom brand on external and internal marketing channels. Namely, this person will be responsible for the ideation and design of assets that support the following marketing channels and functions: organic social, decks, email newsletters, paid ads, landing pages, events merch, and digital user experience on darkroomagency.com.

Responsibilities

  • Produce high-volume, high-quality visual brainstorming of design direction, ideas, and layouts.

  • Design landing pages using UI/UX best practices and design systems.

  • Collaborate with the CEO, Head of Marketing, Marketing Project Manager and Developers to deliver all marketing initiatives.

  • Competently articulate UX thinking with clarity and confidence.

  • Proven understanding and competency in technical requirements for handing off pixel-perfect designs to Developers.

  • Execute and maintain multiple design systems and style guides to be used across all creative collateral, ensuring consistency of brand identity and messaging.

  • Develop a deep understanding of what factors drive converting creative and execute designs within established best practices.

  • Collaborate closely with other creative and marketing team members for daily approvals and feedback to ensure your work adheres to a high standard of craft and accurately reflects the identity of the client brand.

  • Collaborate with external creatives on contracted video work, providing art direction consistent with Darkroom design guidelines.

  • This role reports to the Head of Marketing and works alongside a team of other marketers deploying initiatives for Darkroom marketing.

  • Ability to switch gears between projects quickly and thrive in a fast-paced environment.

  • Experience in developing visual mood boards and defining brand tone and imagery

  • Skilled in creating mock-ups to present concepts, ideas, and final designs

  • Experience in developing and evolving a brand identity.

  • Plus: Capable of developing motion graphics works (2D/3D) for organic social media and project presentation

Requirements

  • Digital portfolio with work that covers branding & identity, typography, and web design.

  • Proven understanding of design principles, including layout, color theory, typography, and composition.

  • Proficient in Figma and Adobe Suite is non negotiable.

  • 4+ years of proven design work experience (preferably within an agency or design studio)

  • Fluent in English (Spoken and written, candidate must be proficient in presenting work in English)

  • Soft Skills

  • Genuine kindness, respect, and humility required

  • Highly creative individual who strives for detail-oriented design and can execute comfortably in a number of styles

  • Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and translate project requirements into compelling designs

  • Self-motivated and proactive with a strong sense of ownership and accountability for detail-oriented deliverables

  • Systematic thinker, who problem solves and time manages without heavy direction

Nice to Have

  • BA or higher degree in Graphic Design or Fine Arts preferred

  • Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite

  • Motion Graphics portfolio
