Our Digital Lifecycle team plays a key role in DeepL’s self-serve growth engine. We’re responsible for guiding users through their journey — from discovery to conversion, adoption, and retention. We communicate mainly via email, in-app messages, and other lifecycle channels. Our mission is to turn users into loyal paying customers who truly understand and experience the value of DeepL.
We’re now looking for a Senior Growth Marketing Manager who will take our lifecycle marketing to the next level.
Develop and execute impactful growth and retention strategies across the user lifecycle
Design, execute, and analyze A/B and multivariate tests — you’re obsessed with experimentation and continuous learning
Form clear hypotheses, define success KPIs, and iterate quickly based on performance data
Build and optimize full-funnel growth initiatives, with a strong grasp of growth loops, conversion levers, and lifecycle stages
Launch and scale lifecycle, nurture, and retention campaigns that engage users and drive measurable impact
Write, edit, and collaborate on high-converting copy across channels — especially email and in-app
Present strategy, performance, and insights to the leadership team, including C-level stakeholders
Partner with product, data, brand, sales, and customer success teams to align communication and drive unified growth
Leverage tools like HubSpot (or similar) to build scalable, automated lifecycle marketing programs
Navigate complex sales cycles with multiple personas, and apply ABM thinking when needed
Track and report performance, drawing out actionable insights to improve results across teams
5+ years of experience in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or CRM – ideally in a SaaS or product-led environment
Proven track record of running successful lifecycle, nurture, and retention campaigns
Strong understanding of growth frameworks, funnel thinking, and experimentation best practices
Experience designing and analyzing experiments (A/B and multivariate) with a scientific, data-driven approach
Familiarity with long sales cycles, multi-stakeholder personas, and ABM strategies
Strong experience in performance reporting and surfacing insights to cross-functional and executive stakeholders
Skilled in writing and collaborating on high-performing, conversion-focused copy, especially for email
