The role

We are looking for a data-driven Marketing Lead to join our International Marketing team, leading Eight Sleep’s expansion in the Chinese market. This role will work closely with all company stakeholders and external partners to successfully lead the brand in China. This is a high-impact role within the organization, with the opportunity to oversee one of the highest potential revenue markets globally. You will report directly to our Director of International and Partnerships.

This role will be based in Hong Kong, Shanghai, Shenzhen or California.

How you’ll contribute

  • Lead Eight Sleep’s performance in China, owning commercial results and budget

  • Spearhead brand and messaging localization in China, creating local relevance based on global brand standards

  • Conduct market and competitor research, translating insights into actionable business strategies

  • Build and oversee an optimal Chinese marketing mix strategy, which includes paid media, key opinion leaders, in-platform e-commerce advertising, editorial and partnerships

  • Carefully analyze marketing and e-commerce performance, evaluate and interpret key performance indicators (KPIs), and work closely with internal and external stakeholders to continuously optimize initiatives for greater efficiency

  • Champion the local market insights, opportunities, learnings, and results to key leadership stakeholders

What you need to succeed

  • 5+ years of proven track record leading B2C businesses in China

  • Wide knowledge of Chinese e-commerce and marketing ecosystem, including key growth levers across superstores and social channels

  • Strong analytical skills, processing and converting data into actionable insights

  • Highly effective written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin

  • A sense of urgency and organization, with the ability to work cross-functionality managing multiple resources with ease, keeping projects on track, and meeting deadlines without compromising quality

  • Excitement about the opportunity to build a fast-growing brand into an iconic company. A strong, proactive communicator with a can-do, positive attitude, and a strong desire to get things done.

  • An interest in the health and wellness space, particularly sleep

  • MBA or consulting experience is preferred
