Job Description

  • Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize costs while maintaining quality standards.
  • Identify and evaluate potential suppliers, negotiate contracts, and establish relationships to ensure reliable sources of supply.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to understand their procurement needs and provide guidance on procurement processes and best practices.
  • Monitor market trends, supplier performance, and industry developments to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
  • Manage the procurement process from requisition to purchase order issuance, ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Conduct regular supplier performance reviews and address any issues or concerns to maintain high levels of supplier performance.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to support new product launches, cost reduction initiatives, and other strategic projects.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to procurement activities, including supplier contracts, pricing agreements, and purchase orders.
  • Stay abreast of relevant regulations and compliance requirements related to procurement activities and ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, with a focus on strategic sourcing and supplier management.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in procurement software systems and tools (e.g., ERP systems, e-sourcing platforms).
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
