Studio Intern

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Studio Intern to join our production team. The ideal candidate will be currently enrolled in a four-year college program or a recent graduate and will have a passion for media production. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a professional studio environment, working closely with our Studio Producer and production team.


Responsibilities
  • Gear Organization: Maintain and organize production equipment, ensuring all gear is in proper working condition and readily accessible for shoots. This involves both audio and camera equipment, as well as G&E and furniture. 
  • Calendar Management: Assist with scheduling and calendar organization for the studio, including booking studio time and coordinating shoot schedules.
  • Studio Maintenance: Keep the studio space clean, neat, and organized. This includes setting up and breaking down sets for recordings, and ensuring and maintaining a tidy work environment.
  • Technical Assistance: Demonstrate proficiency with cable management, gear management and have a working knowledge of Premiere Pro and Riverside. Familiarity with camera operation is a plus, specifically the Sony family.
  • Production Assistance: Act as a production assistant (or PA) on set, supporting various aspects of production both in the studio and on location.
  • Errands and Pick-ups: Run errands and handle pick-ups for the production team before and after shoots, ensuring timely delivery and organization of needed items.
  • Talent Coordination: Interact professionally with high-caliber talent, providing support and ensuring their comfort and needs are met during shoots.
  • Direct Support: Work directly with the Studio Producer and Camera Operator, assisting with various tasks as needed to facilitate smooth production processes.
  • In-Studio Interviews: Work towards running in-studio interviews with little to no supervision, demonstrating growth and reliability in the role.
  • Training and Development: Show a high degree of trainability and a willingness to learn new skills, adapting to the evolving needs of the studio and production team.


Qualifications
  • Currently enrolled in a four-year college program or a recent graduate with a bachelor’s in Journalism, Film, or a related field.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency with Adobe Premiere Pro, Riverside FM and general production.
  • Basic understanding of camera operations and production equipment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including some evenings and weekends.
  • Professional demeanor with excellent communication skills.
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic.
  • Eagerness to learn and develop new skills in a fast-paced environment.


$20 - $20 an hour
