Ferguson is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Warehouse Manager in our Del Valle, Texas branch.

The Facility

  • 180 k sq. ft
  • Direct oversight of 35 associates
  • 2 shift operation
  • WMS environment

Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic leadership for our (business unit) Warehouse
  • Promote and drive safety daily in the workplace, crafting a safe work environment for associates
  • Provide consistent communication to associates and counterparts
  • Continue to increase quality in customer deliveries
  • Drive high levels of inventory integrity within the building
  • Maintain associate engagement throughout the warehouse
  • Maintain and develop a productive warehouse by hiring, training and providing professional development for all of its associates
  • Lead and coordinate associates performing activities including; unloading and stocking of inbound shipments, order selection and
  • shipping of outbound orders, cycle counting, and final mile delivery services to our customers
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness are maintained in our sites
  • Ensure integrity of inventory and confirm that cycle counts are completed daily and accurately
  • Maintain security of warehouse and safety of all associates and equipment, reporting any accidents and conveying any issues to management

Qualifications

  • 3+ years' experience in distribution management supervising 24 - 34 employees in a distribution/warehouse environment
  • A strong background in Warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, delivery, and inventory is required
  • Previous experience working in a WMS environment is required
  • Must have leadership experience in leading and developing a team, mentoring, coaching, training, and performance management
  • Ability to work with people and build an environment that is positive and engaging for the associates
  • Excellent interactive communication skills with ability to effectively communicate to different levels of the organization
  • Strong computer skills to include expertise in Excel, Word, Power Point, and Outlook
  • Experience managing a team of delivery drivers is a plus
  • Material Handling Equipment Certification
  • Proficient in OSHA and DOT regulations

Estimated Ranges displayed are Monthly for Salaried roles OR Hourly for all other roles.

This role is Bonus or Incentive Plan eligible.
