Job Description

The Opportunity

We, at Flywire, are seeking a Product Manager - Collection Management to lead the direction of our higher education collections management solution. Being a B2B2C company, the role demands an understanding of both client and end user’s needs, an innovative problem solving approach, and a bias towards exceptional user experience. Collaboration, relationship-building, and communication are key aspects to being successful in this role.

Product Managers at Flywire like to win. You’ll be part of the team who is focused on identifying what a winning product looks like and how it will succeed in the market. In order to accomplish this, you will own the Collections Management offering within our Student Financial Software and be responsible for its roadmap, solutions, management of a cross functional team and more.. What does this look like? You must …

  • Partner with collection agencies and colleges and universities to develop industry leading collection solutions and experiences for clients and payers

  • Collaborate with engineers, designers, sales and other stakeholders to come up with innovative solutions and enhancements to current product offerings

  • Own the success of your products and initiatives with accountability for measurable results

  • Assess current competitor offerings, industry trends, and higher education needs through working with clients directly, attending trade shows, and other research methods

  • Act as the main communication channel between the product and engineering team and internal stakeholders

  • Work with product marking team on go to market strategies and product marketing collateral

  • Oversee the full Go-To-Market as lead business partner for all projects

  • Work with documentation and technical writers to deliver product documentation and training materials

  • Work closely with industry experts to stay on top of new collections related standards and regulations

  • Own the continued business relationships with collection agencies

Qualifications

Here’s What We’re Looking For (Qualifications):

  • 3+ years of product management experience in a SaaS software company or equivalent transferable experience

  • Experience in higher education or related field with product / project management experience is a big plus

  • Familiarity with higher education collection regulations and/or experience working with or for collection agencies is a plus

  • Ability to compile and communicate key insights to offer recommendations and solutions

  • A drive to think strategically, prioritize ruthlessly, and execute methodically with a data-driven approach to decision making

  • A team player

  • Obsessed with solving education market related problems 

  • Entrepreneurial spirit and ability to work in a fast pace environment

  • Humble - You do what’s best for the company, no politics, no ego
