Job Description

Pay Range: $69,600 to $83,750 per year

As a Safety and Health Compliance Coordinator at Foster Poultry Farms, you will play a vital role in ensuring regulatory compliance across all facilities while supporting the Corporate Health and Safety Department. This position focuses on program development, audit coordination, data management, and training implementation to strengthen our safety culture and reduce potential liabilities.

Job Functions

  • Assist in verifying contractor compliance information and improve visibility of contractor safety performance
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement comprehensive safety programs and training materials
  • Conduct regular safety audits across multiple facilities to ensure OSHA compliance
  • Acquire and analyze safety data from various sources to identify trends and improvement opportunities
  • Create and maintain robust databases for tracking safety metrics and compliance records
  • Support the safety team with record-keeping, documentation, and reporting (both leading and lagging indicators)
  • Prepare compliance documentation for management, regulatory agencies, and external auditor

Additional Responsibilities

  • Complete special projects and assignments as directed by the VP of Safety
  • Provide support during contingency planning and emergency response activities
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives

Qualifications

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in mathematics, computer science, information management, statistics, occupational safety, or related field
  • Experience in data analysis, preferably in a safety or compliance environment
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to develop data collection systems and analytical strategies
  • Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication abilities
  • Capable of working independently with minimal supervision

Preferred Requirements:

  • Multi-language proficiency (Spanish highly desirable)
  • Experience in food manufacturing or processing environment
  • Knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety management systems
  • Prior experience with safety auditing protocols
  • 2-3 years of health and safety experience
