Assistant Merchandiser & Golf Shop Attendant

Searching for energetic, personable individual overseeing all aspects of merchandising by developing attractive displays, interacting with customers and increasing business sales. Looking for someone to inventory and assist Merchandise Manager in inventory control and ordering merchandise. Maintain and cultivate business relationships to engage corporate sales. The ideal person for this job will also be cross-trained in Members Services, T-Sheet management as well as Golf Lesson schedule management.


Requirements

  

o Manage the merchandising by maintaining and identifying new vendors

o Identifying the apparel interests of the members

o Work with Merchandise Manager in open to buy

o Inventory control of golf shop including weekly physical inventory

o Field phone calls in a professional manner, book member tee times

o Reserve golf lesson times for Professional Staff

o Maintain cleanliness of golf shop

o Assist with day to day golf shop activities

o Receiving, ticketing and displaying inventory

o Sell merchandise and interact with members 

o Apparel merchandising the selling floor

o Entering daily sales into JONAS Point of Sale system

o Interaction with members and guests in professional manner

o Accurately maintain files, follow up with stock and special orders

o Cultivate and maintain relationships with vendors

o Cooperative work environment and willingness to delegate tasks

o Initiate and develop understanding of technical attributes of product

o Develop ability to anticipate needs of members
