We’re the people partner for a digital consultancy known for producing award-winning digital campaigns across SEO, outreach, digital PR, and content. We’re helping them find a detail-oriented, curious Digital Marketing Assistant — someone who wants to learn fast, stay organised, and make a real impact in a collaborative team.
The role
This is a rare opportunity to learn the craft of digital outreach — a key function within SEO, PR, and content marketing — from experienced professionals. You’ll support the execution of performance-led campaigns that help boost search visibility, authority, and traffic for well-known Australian and global brands from fintech to home interiors. The day-to-day is varied: one moment you’re researching sites and pitching to journalists; the next, you’re brainstorming PR ideas or writing short-form content.
You’ll learn how to:
Identify and prioritise sites for digital outreach
Craft cold outreach emails that land
Track coverage and report on link-building results
Collaborate with content, PR, and SEO teams
Balance data and storytelling to deliver real SEO impact
What you’ll be doing:
Find relevant websites using SEO tools and assess their suitability for link-building and public relations.
Craft and send personalised emails to bloggers, journalists, and publishers, introducing clients and proposing collaborations.
Create engaging email copy, suggest compelling headlines, and develop interesting story ideas for PR.
Contribute to the creation of short blogs and participate in team brainstorms for campaign development.
Utilise platforms like SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console, Looker Studio, and spreadsheets to monitor campaign progress, analyse data, and report on results.
Keep track of communications, manage responses, and ensure timely follow-up to maintain momentum and build relationships.
Assist with various tasks to support the smooth running of outreach campaigns, such as gathering information and preparing reports.
Stay aware of current affairs and news trends and identify opportunities to align outreach with relevant trends.
What we’re looking for:
This is an entry-level role, perfect for someone finishing university or early in their career. You don’t need loads of experience — we’ll teach you the technical skills. What matters is your curiosity, your organisation, and your ability to learn quickly and follow through.
You’ll stand out if you:
Have a degree in journalism, communications, marketing or similar — or equivalent experience
Are genuinely curious about SEO, digital PR, and content strategy
Are just as happy writing a short blurb as you are in a spreadsheet
You are organised and proactive, engaged, and not afraid to ask questions
Are emotionally intelligent, easy to work with, and value a supportive team culture
This role is for you if:
You’re equally comfortable writing and working with data
You’re curious, collaborative, and eager to learn across SEO, PR, and outreach
You’re detail-oriented and love ticking things off a list
You’re excited by the idea of contributing to campaigns for global brands
You want to grow fast in a supportive, high-performing team
Not for you if:
You’re looking for a purely creative role
You’re not comfortable in spreadsheets
You don’t enjoy variety — this is a multi-disciplinary role that shifts gears fast
What’s in it for you:
Hybrid working (2 days in-office, 3 from home)
A clear growth path: Coordinator → Exec → Senior Exec → Manager
Salary benchmark $50K–$60K + Super, depending on experience
Extra paid day off for your birthday
Monthly team socials and an inclusive culture
Exposure to fast-paced digital campaigns and big-name clients from day one
