Generator Sales Representative

Company Overview
Sales installation and service of standby generators is our business. We are the #1 Generac dealer in North America who is opening a high-end retail location to service Wilmington and surrounding areas. What we are looking for is for a Sales member who will follow up and develop leads.

We have 100's of Leads.

Responsibilities and DutiesDuties include:

  • Working with a scheduler assistant using our software in real time for sales, installations, and service. All employees are trained.
  • Working with local channel partners to help create leads and develop relationships.
  • Developing local leads themselves by marketing to nearby neighborhoods.
  • Performs inside sales or telemarketing from the branch office during training and then occasionally over the course of selling based upon business needs. Transitions to perform outside sales door-to-door requiring travel to residential areas by personal vehicle.
  • Generates additional sales revenue by cross-selling and up-selling to current customers.
  • Compiles lists of potential customers for use as sales leads based on information from direct mailing/advertisement, community activities, and other resources.
  • Identifies the target geographic area for sales on a weekly basis.
  • Prepares and develops an effective sales pitch to build customer relationships, reinforce value-added services, and answer potential questions to overcome resistance and objections.
  • Contacts potential customers to explain type and value of services or products.
  • Quotes prices, negotiate with the customer, and closes the sale.
  • Collects customer contact information for every sale.
  • Estimates date of service for customer based on knowledge of branch production and service schedules.
  • Prepares and maintains accurate sales reports.
Looking for someone that understands that lead building and generation is a huge part of sales. 

It is a major plus if you have any experience in the generator business that includes knowledge of Generac, Kohler, ASCO, CAT. Taylor, Baldor, Magnum, MQ Power, Cummins, Onan or Wacker.
