The Girls and Activity Brand Manager will be responsible for overseeing and driving the growth of toy brands specifically targeted at girls and activity-focused categories. This role involves active participation in product development, brand positioning, creation and execution of marketing plans, and cross-functional collaboration to ensure successful product launches and sustained brand performance.

 

Job Responsibilities

  • With guidance from the VP of Marketing, actively participate in the creation of new toy brands by identifying market opportunities, defining brand positioning and DNA, targeting core consumers, developing product line strategies, and executing launch plans.
  • Manage existing toy brands by identifying growth opportunities, understanding consumer needs, and creating and implementing marketing plans to drive demand.
  • Oversee product strategy execution, ensuring alignment with brand positioning and DNA, optimal pricing strategies, competitive value propositions, consumer-centric play patterns, and clear packaging communications.
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including R&D and regional leads, to develop compelling and profitable toy lines.
  • Support Sales by providing necessary tools, materials, and presentations throughout the sales process.
  • Create and execute comprehensive marketing plans aligned with business objectives, collaborating with agency partners and cross-functional marketing teams.
  • Support Retail Sales through presentations of marketing plans to internal teams and key retail buyers.
  • Develop, launch, and monitor marketing strategies and initiatives, including advertising, retail/channel marketing, pricing, distribution strategies, sales support, and promotional activities.
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in Toy Brand Management, encompassing both product development and consumer marketing.
  • Proven ability to strategically create brands, develop product line architecture, and measure the success of marketing initiatives.
  • Proficiency in analyzing and leveraging POS data and Circana reports.
  • Experience collaborating with licensors is preferred.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated ability to influence decisions.
  • Experience presenting to senior management and external partners.
