Castle Park - Buccaneer Cove Attendant

A Water Playground Attendant in Buccaneer Cove provides guests with a safe and fun experience at each slide and water attraction.

We are currently looking for a:

 

Castle Park - Buccaneer Cove Attendant

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

    Rate: $16.50/hr

    Roles & Responsibilities:

    • Enforce the policies, rules and procedures in a courteous and professional manner to ensure the safety of our guests and staff
    • Complete daily checklist before operation begins
    • Be familiar with the mechanical functions of the structure to be able to spot irregularities in the operation
    • Be completely knowledgeable of the location, including emergency evacuation procedures, nearest fire extinguisher, dispatching procedures, etc.
    • Entertain guests and calm their nerves as they prepare to enter the slide
    • Answer all guest questions and give proper guidance
    • Maintain a clean and safe work environment
    • Complete any tasks as requested by Ride Supervisors or Management
    • Comply and enforce all park policies, procedures, and labor laws
    • All other duties assigned by leadership

    Education & Experience:

    • No education requirements for this position
    • Previous work experience is not required

    Language: Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English; Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus

    Requirements:

    • Must be at least 16 years of age to comply with California Child Labor Laws
    • Ability to work flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
    • Must possess safety-oriented mindset and understand the importance of complying with all Federal, State, and local regulations regarding aquatics safety standards
    • Ability to multi-task in an efficient manner, to ensure exceptional customer service
    • Must demonstrate a willingness to learn and ability to follow instructions
    • Must be guest-focused and work well with other team members and supervisors
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

    Physical Requirements:

    • Ability to stand or walk for extended periods of time
    • Ability to frequently kneel, stoop, bend, squat, twist or reach above shoulder-level
    • Ability to use hands to grasp, finger, handle, or feel
    • Ability to carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing up to 15 pounds

    Working Conditions:

    • Constant exposure to outdoor aquatic environments
    • Constant exposure to various outside temperatures, including high heat, direct sun, cold, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions
    • Subject to frequent interruptions and requested that may require reprioritization of activities
