Role Overview

As a Product Designer II, you will be instrumental in crafting a seamless and intuitive communication suite that enhances phone, text, and email experiences for our customers. Your work will focus on making these interactions more user-friendly, innovative, and impactful, ensuring effortless and efficient communication. You are a creative individual with strong product design skills, great aesthetic sensibilities and are known for your effortless collaboration. You will work closely with product management, designers, and engineers throughout our organization to create a unified and valuable multi-channel experience. Your work will inspire and delight.

What you do each day:

  • Design simple and beautiful experiences that combine phone, text, and email features to make a measurable difference in the lives of our Pros.
  • Advocate for the customer’s needs while balancing the goals of the business.
  • Facilitate and participate in user research and testing. You’ll use the synthesis of this work to continually evolve the work to be above and beyond best in class.
  • Shape and expand the user experience, interactions, and user interface through user flows, information architecture, sketches, wireframes, and visual design.
  • Present and communicate concepts and design rationale to team members and stakeholders.
  • Innovate and strengthen design principles and repeatable patterns.
  • Inspire the team and our customers by bringing new ideas and visual experiences to the table and defining next-generation interfaces.
  • Provide guidelines and documentation that connects and resonates with the teams building our products, ultimately shipping a wonderful and easy to use product.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience designing for SaaS products, focusing on communication tools - including integrated experiences for phone, text, and email
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience
  • Portfolio that highlights design patterns and product architecture you have created or largely contributed to.
  • Knowledge of design patterns and technologies for web, iOS, and Android.
  • Understand accessibility guidelines.

  • You care about the details and the craft of your designs and how those designs get translated on a deep level.

Location Dependent Information

This role is open to candidates and the expected salary range for this role is $97,600-$122,000. The specific salary for the successful candidate will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. This role is also eligible to participate in Housecall Pro’s equity plan and the following benefits: health care insurance (medical, dental, vision, disability), employee assistance program, 401(K), flexible time off, paid parental leave, tech reimbursement, and other company benefits.
