Access Center Nurse Manager

  • Manages clinical operations of the Access Center in accordance with the FPP goals and objectives.
  • Serve on Nurse & Quality Council/Committee

Oversee clinical questions and refill questions through EGS/IVR phone tree.

  • Collaborates with senior management, Providers, and internal FPP departments to ensure efficient and cost-effective operations in the standardization of best practices and processes.
  • Partners with Executive Leadership team (Access Center Director, Clinical Operations Nurse Manager, Executive Directors of Operations, Practice Providers) to standardize best practices and processes throughout the Access Center
  • Responsible for measuring and implementing strategies to increase quality and patient outcomes through utilization of the system's clinically integrated network
  • Works closely with the Access Center Director to ensure the clinical portion of the Access Center is staffed appropriately
  • Other duties as assigned.
     

    CORE COMPETENCIES:

  • Registered Nurse with active DC license (can obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Minimum of two years of management experience in a primary care or specialty setting required.
  • Managing Knack Software, experience required
  • 1 year experience in Access Center required
  • Certified in clinical specialty that FPP offers
  • Must be well versed in interdisciplinary practice environments, with knowledge and experience in patient registration, billing, management of front-end staffing settings.
  • Process management ability to effectively coordinate the efforts of professional and support staff with proven experience in conflict resolution and team development.
  • Demonstrated understanding of healthcare fiscal management
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with EHR Systems and software applications
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
  • Registered Nurse with active DC license (can obtain within 90 days of hire)
  • Minimum of five (5) years nursing experience in an Ambulatory or Academic setting; two (2) years of management experience in a primary care or specialty setting required.
  • Specialized in one of FPP specialties
  • Managing Knack Software, experience required
  • 1 year experience in Access Center required
