SalesForce Developer (Remote)

ICF’s Digital Modernization division is a rapidly growing, entrepreneurial, technology department, seeking a Salesforce Developer to support requirements for our federal customers.  You will be part of our team supporting an exciting opportunity at a federal client. This opportunity is contingent on contract award and can be performed remotely. 

Our Digital Modernization division is an information technology and management consulting department that offers integrated, strategic solutions to its public and private-sector clients. ICF has the expertise, agility, and commitment to design, build, and operate high-performance IT engines to support all aspects of our client’s business.

Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform based on business needs and industry best practices.
  • Work closely with team members to develop applications in Salesforce and research integration issues.
  • Review and update Salesforce license recommendations and have a basic understanding of Salesforce license models
  • Create designs for implementing business functionality such as document generation, external data management, business rules validation and document generation
  • Advise UI/UX designers regarding best-practice approaches to implementing the customer’s requirements.
  • Mentor other developers who are new the Salesforce platform through knowledge transfer, peer review, and frequent collaboration.
  • Recommend and implement improvements and new functionality in Salesforce, and deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues.
  • Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues and creative solutions.
  • Perform ongoing Salesforce administration (create accounts / profiles, defining fields, updating layouts, reports, dashboards etc.) and development.
  • Provide support for hosted applications, including log monitoring, performance monitoring, deployment support, and responding to questions.
  • Develop administrative salesforce tools and functionality, research integration issues, and troubleshoot platform-related issues.
  • Review and respond to incident tickets utilizing a ticket tracking tool and follow up to ensure timely resolution.
  • Facilitate continuous improvement within the environment & document best practices and operational procedures.
  • Monitor Salesforce.com usage for compliance & maintain security for Salesforce.com data. 

Required Skills: 

  • Must reside in the United States.
  • US Citizenship required (required by federal government for this position)
  • Currently possess or have ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance. 
  • 5+ years of Software development and implementation using Salesforce, preferably in a government consulting environment.  
  • 3+ years of experience leading development teams as technical lead with at least 5 team members. Deep understanding of application design, development, support, and enhancement lifecycle
  • 3+ years of experience with Salesforce.com with a unique combination of being business-minded and highly analytical
  • 3+ years of functional knowledge of Salesforce.com data structure and understanding of how to leverage the tool to meet complex process and reporting requirements.   Strong track record working as a technical lead to perform process analysis, gather business requirements, and develop/configure digital applications.
  • 3+ years of experience in supporting Salesforce.com configuration tasks such as field/page updates, workflows, automated approvals
  • 3+ year of experience with database software, Platform as a Service solution
  • 3+ year of experience in tools and technologies, such as JIRA/Confluence, Github, and Bamboo/Jenkins,
  • 3+ years of experience Knowledge of Agile methodologies and working across entire software development lifecycle including design, development, testing, implementation, deployment, maintenance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field
  • Salesforce Administrator certification

  • Experience in tools and technologies, such as ELK Stack, Codescan, SIEM, GRC, Splunk, Copado, Provar, Eggplant,  Commvalt/Capstorm, Colibra, Secure network management, and Endpoint protection
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, face-to-face)
  • Previous experience at the federal client is highly desirable

Pay Range - There are multiple factors that are considered in determining final pay for a position, including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location, education and certifications as well as contract provisions regarding labor categories that are specific to the position.

The pay range for this position based on full-time employment is:

$98,124.00 - $166,810.00
