Technical Sales Manager, Food & Beverage Enzymes (Northern Europe)

Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled Technical Sales Manager to join our IFF Food Biosciences sales organization in the UK or Denmark! We're looking for a candidate with proven skills with enzymes in the Food & Beverage and most importantly the Bakery industry. This position offers an exciting role with a lot of potential in a dynamic and strong industry. The aim is to grow our enzymes business at targeted food customers in UK, Ireland and the Nordics, primarily within the bakery industry. You will be reporting to the Sales Leader Europe for Food & Beverage Enzymes and you will be supported by the Food Enzymes business group which includes Communications, Marketing, Product Management, Applications, R&D, Operations and Finance to achieve our common goals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Being First Choice - cultivate and develop relationships with targeted existing and potential customers to promote IFF as the preferred supplier
  • Offer technical and commercial solutions to customer driven projects 
  • Identify and evaluate new market trends/opportunities and develop these opportunities in new business to grow the company’s market share within the bakery industry - manage these opportunities within our SalesForce.Com system
  • Ensure prices & conditions negotiations
  • Support IFF’s strategy for growth linked to primarily bakery enzymes 
  • Develop long-term sales plans for key customers and accounts, monitor and adapt sales activities that these objectives are met in accordance with IFF’s category strategy
  • Actively promote the company profile at conferences, tradeshows and industry seminars
  • Keep and establish contact to internal departments like Application and Product Management on relevant projects, pricing, market developments etc.
     

Job Requirements

  • You are a professional with a bakery technology background having a solid practical understanding and experiences with bakery enzymes
  • You like to work independently, being self-motivated but also understand how to function in a larger organization and the importance of reaching common business goals – a high degree of team spirit is a prerequisite 
  • You prove project management skills where full ownership of driving new business opportunities is demonstrated by coordinating all team members to achieve business objectives
  • You are customer centric and open-minded
  • You have a minimum of 3 years working experience
  • You are fluent in English language (Swedish and/or Danish will be a plus) and have a valid driving license
