Intermediate Front-End Developer

As an Intermediate Front-end developer, you will be responsible for the development and upkeep of a portfolio of websites, you will focus on creating high-quality responsive website layouts and custom widget skins, and this involves integrating back-end data with razor views for a seamless user experience. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that set standards are met through your specialized knowledge in web development and meticulous eye for detail. The ideal person will be in possession of an IT qualification, be skilled in front-end development, have back-end knowledge, passionate about crafting engaging web experiences and has a proven track record in web development. It is a hybrid position requiring a self-equipped workstation with a personal computer and a reliable internet connection from home, with the expectation of being at our Westville office 2x a week.

What you’ll do:

  • Utilize a proprietary content management system to create professional, compelling, and eye-catching websites.
  • Write clean, efficient code, focusing on proactive strategies to ensure responsiveness across tablets and mobile devices.
  • Conduct thorough testing for browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness.
  • Collaborate with other teams as needed.
  • Provide JavaScript/jQuery scripting support for additional departmental needs or client demands.
  • Perform responsive adjustments on legacy websites.
  • Match design specifications with pixel-perfect accuracy or as close as possible.
  • Apply e-commerce design principles and user experience standards.
  • Research, test, and prototype innovative solutions promptly.
  • Incorporate basic SEO techniques into content development.
  • Apply UX design principles for intuitive user experiences.
  • Offer guidance on web design, UX, content, and image specifications.
