This position will be responsible for designing, implementing, fully testing and managing our company's network infrastructure.

This role requires a deep understanding of network architecture, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to lead a team of network engineers ranging in experience and expertise. Leadership will be required in areas including prioritization, escalations, high-profile troubleshooting, and cross-team collaboration.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in network design, security, and performance optimization.

What You’ll Do

  • Design and implement network solutions to meet cross-functional business requirements.
  • Manage and maintain network infrastructure, including wireless access points, routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices.
  • Advise a team of network engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure optimal operation.
  • Develop and enforce network security policies and procedures.
  • Collaborate with other IT teams to integrate network solutions with other systems.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for network configurations, processes, and procedures.

What You’ll Need

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in network engineering.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology or other related field required.
  • Certifications Preferred: CCNP, CCIE, etc.
  • Strong knowledge of network protocols, routing, and switching.
  • Proficiency in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills.
  • Superior troubleshooting and investigatory skills with a strong sense of urgency in high-profile outage situations.
  • In-depth knowledge of Cisco IOS, NXOS, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS, VXLAN, FCOE and FC environments.
  • Ability to implement & deliver complex technical projects within a defined schedule covering LAN, WAN, Wireless, 4/5G, SD-WAN, VPNs, NAC, and Zero Trust.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco, Meraki, and other core networking hardware.
  • Expertise in network security, including firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in network performance tuning and optimization.
  • Familiarity with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure) and virtualization technologies.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent documentation and technical writing skills.
  • Experience with network security technologies and best practices.
